DEC is PUMPED to start the 5th and final season of The Boys. DEC will be providing the Special Effects for the final season and we will be filming in Toronto, Canada at Pinewood Studios until mid-Summer 2025. We can’t wait to showcase more of the BIG TIME SUPERHERO SPFX that The Boys is known for. Explosions, head pops, car flips, blood sprays, smoke, fire and brimstone. This worldwide smash hit of a series has been the ride of a lifetime and we can’t wait to finish it off with a BANG!!

What We Do In The Shadows Season 6 premieres tonight! The DEC Team has created all of the Special Effects on “Shadows” from Day 1. We are excited and honestly kinda sad for the end of this unique show. It’s been a crazy ride. During Season 1 we had a shoestring budget and really had to get creative to produce high-level Special Effects with a tiny budget. As the show grew, the SPFX grew with it. In Season 4 we were creating big time special effects like whole sets built inside our custom DEC SPFX Water Tanks and huge crane rain scenes. In Season 5, we were flipping cars and creating big time superhero Special Effects. We can’t give away what we did for Season 6 but you can go watch the show on FX Network tonight and find out for yourselves!

DEC has been signed to work with Blumhouse to provide Special Effects for the upcoming Feature film Black Phone 2. The sequel to the popular original Black Phone will be filmed in Toronto, Canada from September 2024 to February 2025. This film features a ton of snow and blizzard effects as well as extensive SPFX Pool work. The SPFX in this feature are going to be BIG. We can’t wait to get started.

DEC has signed on to provide SPFX on FUBAR Season 2 on Netflix. The second season will be filmed at Cinespace Studio in the west end of Toronto just 3 blocks from DEC’s Special Effects Shop. Working with a living legend like Arnold Schwarzenegger will be a dream come true for the DEC Team and can’t wait to get started!

DEC has signed on with Amazon to continue to create our brand of world class Special Effects on Gen V Season 2. This first season was filled with Special Effects and the DEC Team can’t wait to start working on Season 2. From our patented head pops to car flips and everything in between, the special effects in The Boys universe have a certain look which the DEC Team has created over the years and we can’t wait to continue to bring these SPFX to screens worldwide. Gen V2 will be filmed in Toronto, Canada at Pinewood Studios. Things are going to get crazy in Season 2.

Has it been SIX Seasons already??!!??!! DEC’s own J.R. Kenny has been co-ordinating What We Do In The Shadows since day 1 episode 1 season 1 and has signed on as SPFX Coordinator for Season 6 to finish off the series. Season 6 will be filmed at Heward  Studios in the east end of Toronto. “Shadows” is a surprisingly difficult show for our Special Effects Department. It is basically a comedy about Vampires with superpowers that results in BIG SPFX! Everyone at DEC is looking forward to WWDITS6 and finishing off the series with a BANG!

What We Do in the Shadows follows four vampires who’ve “lived” together for hundreds of years. In Season 3, the vampires are elevated to a new level of power and will encounter the vampire from which all vampires have descended, a tempting Siren, gargoyles, werewolf kickball, Atlantic City casinos, wellness cults, ex-girlfriends, gyms and supernatural curiosities galore.
