DEC created the Special Effects for OVO Majid Jordan’s newest music video for “Body Talk“. This video was shot in Toronto and Caledon, Ontario. The visuals of the finished product are stunning go check it out.
“IT” Released in Theatres
“IT” was released today in theatres across North America. DEC’s own J.R. Kenny worked on “IT” as a set Key. J.R. says there were some scenes in this film that were genuinely scaring crew members on set while filming. Go check it out
DEC x VES
The DEC Team recently attended the Visual Effects Society 2017 Summer party. It’s always fun getting out and having a few beers with some of the brightest minds in the special effects world. We have worked closely with the VFX houses in Toronto over the years and it’s good to keep in touch and catch up. Cheers to Special Effects in Toronto!
DEC x Star Wars Battlefront II
We recently created various special effects for an upcoming commercial for the newest Star Wars video game. We can’t post any videos or pics yet but there was a ton of breaking glass, debris, and explosives. Stay tuned for a November release date….
Future feat. The Weeknd – Comin Out Strong
We had a great time working on this project. This video was shot down in the abandoned subway station in the heart of downtown Toronto. Toronto has become one of the great cities in the world and it was an honour and a pleasure to work with such a great collection of Toronto-based talent. Creating Special Effects in Toronto working alongside Toronto’s best was a great experience.
“Thank You For Your Service” Trailer
The DEC team travelled to Morocco to shoot this film. Under the direction of Jason Hall, we executed a collection of war-time Special Effects. RPGs, IEDs, big guns, Hummers…all the good stuff. We always love working internationally. It was our 2nd time creating Special Effects in Morocco for a film and we look forward to returning.
Billy Lynn Review
Review for Ang Lee’s “Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk.” This film will premiere at the New York Film Festival in October, 2016 .
